Free Agents take Gold's Gym to task
Jordan Brewer connected for five hits to lead Free Agents in a 27-15 win over Gold’s Gym in the Coed Division I Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.
Brewer slapped a home run, two doubles and two singles for four RBIs.
Free Agents started strong scoring the 10-run limit in the first inning. By the end of two, they were up 14-5. Free Agents picked up five more runs in the fourth and eight in the sixth to put the game away in six innings.
Aubrey Claxton doubled for three RBIs for Free Agents while Nate Decker singled for three RBIs.
Kris Giahane hit two doubles for Gold’s, Hector Barrientos hit two singles for two RBIs, and Maude McCourry singled for an RBI.
Heritage Tree Service 27, Unknowns 19
The first three innings were close with Unknown on top 9-8. In the top of the fourth, Heritage started to pull away with five runs for a 13-10 lead. In the top of the fifth, Heritage exploded for 10 runs to leave Unknown behind.
Chris Moore was the big stick for Heritage clobbering three home runs and a single for nine RBIs. Justin Nunley hit three singles for two RBIs, and Savanah May tripled and singled for two RBIs. Jason Little cracked a grand slam.
Ron Norville led Unknown with a home run, triple and two singles for five RBIs. Justin Abdo doubled and hit three singles for an RBI, and Nichole Overly hit two singles for two RBIs.
Tay Gray Unleashed 24, Beach Zone 6
Tay Gray jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the first two innings. By the end of four, Tay Gray was on top 14-6. In the top of the fifth, Tay Gray put the game away with 10 runs.
Josh Snyder knocked in seven runs for Tay Gray on two homers and a single. Austin Jessup smacked two homers, a double and a single for six RBIs, and Tiffany Werner hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs.
Chris Poole led Beach Zone with a homer, triple and a single for four RBIs. Jane Blanken and Steven Kertz each hit two singles.
Emerald Coast Chiropractic 15, Stanley Security 3
Emerald Coast stepped out to an 8-2 lead in the first three innings and then finished it off in six.
Don Edwards led Chiropractic with three doubles and a single for an RBI. Kat Mortenson hit two doubles and a single for four RBIs, Lee Pardue hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs, and Teresa Imdieke connected for two triples and a single for three RBIs.
Kristin Myers tripled and singled for Stanley. Nikki Webb hit two doubles and Ethan Randolph tripled for an RBI.
