Eli Williams scored three touchdowns to lead the Destin Dolphin Seniors to a 24-0 win over Niceville 1 in the Panhandle Youth Football Association last weekend in Destin.

Williams rushed for two touchdowns, a 20- and a 25-yarder, and had a 25-yard catch and run from Harrison Orr for the other TD. Carsten Phillips had a catch for an extra-point conversion.

“We won the battle up front,” said Destin Coach Ryan Orr. “The offensive line made us look good.”

Not only did the offense get the job done, but the defense did as well.

“The defense did a fantastic job getting in the backfield,” said Orr, noting the play of Brandon and Christian Harnish and Zac Thomas.

In addition to the three TDs, the Destin defense put points on the board with two safeties. Maddox Fayard blocked a punt resulting in a safety and Brick Larabee tackled a Niceville ball carrier in the end zone for the other two points.

Coach Orr also had high praise for center Garrett Jacobs.

“He was feeling a 100 percent but he gave a 100 percent,” Orr said of Jacobs.

Dalton Taylor came in as relief in the second half for Jacobs at center and did a good job as well.

Captains for the Destin Seniors were Evan Kajala, Gavin Garrity, Eric Scott and Omar Granados.

Up next for the Destin Seniors is a 2:30 p.m. road game in Shalimar against the Shalimar Wildcats.

In other Dolphin action, the Destin Juniors blasted the South Walton Seahawks 33-6 with Maddox Hayles leading the way with three touchdowns.

Kaydon Chapman scored the first TD on a 50-yard run right up the gut. Then Hayles scored his first touchdown of the day on a 30-yard run. Hayles connected with Baylen Knox for the extra-point conversion and a 13-0 lead.

Hayles set up the next TD on a 40-yard run and then Owen Davis scored on a run up the middle. Andrew Atkins was good for the point after and a 20-6 game.

Hayles scored his second touchdown on a 50-yard run then finished off the game with a 65-yard scamper across the goal line for a 33-6 finish.

The  Destin Pee Wees lost 51-0 to Niceville 1.

The Destin Juniors play Shalimar at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and the Pee Wees play Shalimar at 11 a.m.
