Healthsource Smokin’ Bases smokes Navigators

Ryan Johnson connected for four hits to lead Healthsource Smokin’ Bases in a 29-22 win over Navigators in the Coed Division II Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Johnson hit two doubles and two singles.

At the end of two innings, Healthsource led 13-7 and 19-10 by the end of three.

Navigators came on strong in the end with nine runs in the fifth and three in the sixth but it wasn’t enough to pull off a win.

Jeremy Maines hit two doubles and a single for Healthsource and Dakota Blackburn doubled and hit a single.

Ryan Marcell led Navigators with a home run and three singles. Richard Rittenbaur hit three singles and Bart Hardy a double and three singles.

The Track 14, Misfits 5

The Track jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the first three innings. The Track went on to score four in the fourth and seven in the sixth for the win.

Lee Major doubled and hit two singles for three RBIs for The Track. Becky Eiler doubled and singled for two RBIs, and Corey Griffith belted a home run and a double for four RBIs.

Jason Smith was tops for Misfits with two singles for an RBI. Sam Senor singled for an RBI, and Chelsea Womack singled for two RBIs.

So Wal 30, Jackacuda’s-Brotula’s 4

So Wal had a strong start posting the 10-run limit in each of the first three innings for the win. They finished off the game in five innings.

Steve Kline hit three doubles and two singles for So Wal. Kyle Boyer tripled, hit two doubles and a single, and Michael Ogden hit two doubles and two singles.

Fenders Collision 28, Emerald Coast Alarms 7

Fenders stepped out to a 16-6 lead in the first three innings and managed to polish off the game in five.

Lynda Tanner connected for four singles for two RBIs for Fenders.

Tops for ECA were Matt Reich with three singles for two RBIs, Nic Reimer with a double and a single for three RBIs, and Brandon Blyden with a triple and a double for an RBI.
