HarborWalk edges out 2 Brothers Remodeling

Eric Howell connected for four hits to lead HarborWalk in a 15-14 win over 2 Brothers Remodeling in the Coed Division I Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Howell doubled and hit three singles in the victory.

2 Brothers took an early 3-0 lead, but HarborWalk evened the score in the bottom of the third with three runs. In the fourth, HarborWalk took its first lead of the game with four runs.

2 Brothers tied it up again with four runs in the top of the fifth. However, HarborWalk pulled away with seven in the bottom half.

In the sixth, 2 Brothers scored four and HarborWalk answered with one.

In the final inning, 2 Brothers could only muster two runs, falling by one run.

Travis Holland smacked three home runs for four RBIs for HarborWalk. Brian Martinez slapped a homer and two singles for two RBIs.

Nelson Campbell ripped a home run, double and a single for three RBIs for 2 Brothers. Jeremiah Mayville doubled and hit two singles for four RBIs, and Jenna Oliver hit three singles for an RBI.


Pool Shark 9, Emerald Coast Chiropractic 8

The first five innings of play were a tough defensive battle with Chiropractic scoring one in the first and Pool Shark answering with one in the third for a 1-1 game through the end of five innings.

In the top of the sixth, Chiropractic scored two and then brought in five more in the seventh for an 8-1 lead.

In the bottom of the seventh, Pool Shark rallied the bats and scored the eight runs needed for the win.

Anthony Bartolo hit three singles for Pool Shark. Brandon Wilson doubled and singled for two RBIs and Jaclyn Haberman connected for two singles.

Don Edwards was the big stick for Chiropractic with a home run and a triple for three RBIs. Jess Whidden hit two singles for an RBI, and Kat Mortensen belted a triple and a single for an RBI.

*Late games in all divisions were canceled Wednesday due to bad weather.
