Pool Shark wins over Emerald Coast Alarms

In a close game, Pool Shark pulled off an 18-14 win over Emerald Coast Alarm in the last week of regular season play in the Coed Division II Softball League at Morgan Sports Center.

At the end of two innings, ECA was up 7-6 and 10-9 at the end of three.

In the fourth inning, Pool Shark edged ahead with four runs while holding ECA to one in the bottom half.

With time running out in the fifth, Pool Shark scored five runs and ECA three.

Brittney Foerster led Pool Shark with a triple, double and single for two RBIs. Brandon Wilson hit a double and two singles for an RBI, and Michael Robbins hit two singles for an RBI.

Brandon Blyden was the big stick for ECA with an inside the park home run, a triple and a single for four RBIs. Frank Kaessar hit two doubles and a single for three RBIs and Chelsea Womack hit two singles.

Island Wings 17, Ace in the Hole 15

Down 6-3, Island Wings took the lead in the bottom of the third with six runs.

In the fourth, Island Wings picked up eight more runs and then held Ace for the win.

Jen Bazylak led Island Wings with two triples and a single for three RBIs. Dave Bazylak slapped a home run and a double for four RBIs and Lauren Cramer hit two singles.

Tyler Stahlhut knocked two homers out of the park and had one inside the park homer, plus a single for a total of four RBIs for Ace. Ron Norville slapped a home run and two doubles.

Play begins Jan. 16.
