Robbins Builders nail down win in youth league

Robbins Builders beat Taco Town FWB 24-12 in the city of Destin’s Youth Basketball League at the Destin Community Center recently.

At the half, Builders had slight 10-8 lead but then came on strong in the third to pull off the win in the 9-10 year old division.

Scoring six points each for Robbins were Charlie Frankfurt, Will Wortman, Ryne Burks and Stephen Riggs.

Carter Marrallo scored six for Taco Town, while Cannon Wilbur added four and Jackson Marrallo hit for two.

Here’s a look at how the rest of the teams did in the league.

Ages 9-10

Dynamic Pain and Wellness 47, Pristine Paint 34

Cruze McCune led Dynamic with 12 points. Cullen McCune and Xavier Crawford each scored eight, while Calix McCune hit for seven. Scoring four each were Skye Dwyer and Avery Cowles. Wesley Hall and Samuel Magee each added two.

Sara Oakes was tops for Pristine with 18 points. Jaden Fair and Ebner Ingram each scored six. Eli O’Brian scored four.

Better Homes and Gardens 29, Porath and Associates 15

Lavin McDaniel led Better Homes with 10 points. Carter Phillips scored nine while Griffin Cann and Lily Lechner each scored four. Brett Austin chipped in two.

Heath Criswell scored six for Porath. Hayden Barlus hit for five and Calvin Blackman chipped in four.

Himes Signs Corp 35, Subway 18

Jabari Weeks was the high-point player for Himes with 20 points. Zai’Shawn Brown knocked down 11 points. Jordan Galloway scored four.

Cameron Cook and Nathan Hiers each scored six for Subway. Elias McCoy hit for two.

Ages 7-8

Imagine Data Services 14, Aaron’s Pool and Spa 4

Davidson Lee was the go-to guy for Imagine with eight points. Scoring two each were Khloe Mixon, Graham Herndon and Parker Bloom.

Bentley Reed scored all four points for Aaron’s.

Frankfurt 1031 Exchange 10, McGovern, O’Dell and Associates 4

Henry Frankfurt tossed in four points for Frankfurt, while JB Martin, Max Wortman and Noah Finkler each chipped in two points.

Bentlee Bailey scored all four points for McGovern.

Subway 32, Books by Schmidt 4

David Orsua was high-point player for Subway with 12 points. Jayven Brown scored eight and Jayden Rowell hit for six. Scoring two each were Chris Otto, Wyatt Kilpatrick and Aaron Magee.

Harper Schmidt and Conor Graham each scored two points for Books.

Merrill Lynch 14, Emerald Coast Xtreme Steam 8

Blake Marracco led Merrill with six points. Bradley Griffith contributed four, while Jayden Hall and Thatcher Sommerville each chipped in two.

Ryder Kendall and Bev Tintzman each scored four points for Xtreme.

Ages 5-6

Panera Bread 25, Championship Title 13

Grayton Robbins scored eight for Panera, while Barrett Robbins hit for five. Brooks Smith scored four. Contributing two each were William Thillet, Miles Merritt and Hunter Tintzman. Hudson Riggs, Caleb Riggs and Emmie Roberson each scored one.

Bentley Barnwell scored six for Championship. Easton Strickland added four, while Audrey Waters made two points and Madeleine Baughman added one.

DKM Custom Homes 24, Nathan Hall DMD 10

Brock Sansom was on fire for DKM, scoring 22 points. Cylar Strother scored the other two points.

Elijah Finkler led Nathan with four points. Scoring two each were Raheem Culp, Eli Cooper, and Tiago Rella-Tillis.

Labrada’s Home Improvement 32, Subway 26

High-point man for Labrada’s was Jarvis Rickman with 28 points. Scoring two each were Nora Reyes, Ethan Feagin, Mason Mueller and Alexa Granados.

Carson Gregory led Subway with 10 points. Scoring six each were Jayden Mullins and Ethan Robinson. Tanner Reese and Brosnan Kramer each added two points.

O’Connell and Associates 30, Dermatology Specialist 16

Griffin Terry scored 10 for O’Connell, while Warren Smith and Knox Taylor each scored six. Abel Smith contributed four. Scoring two each were Charlie Zielinski and Isaiah Paulino.

Contributed four points each for Dermatology were Joseph Hayes, Talib Tate and Foster Alley. John McClain and Ansleigh Reynolds each added two points.

Ages 3-4

O’Connell and Associates 24, B&C Fire Safety 22

Ace Hastings was high-point player for O’Connell with 20 points. Contributed two each were Everett Marzka nd Matt Smith.

Brantley Bailey scored eight for Fire Safety. Others scoring were Avalyn O’Dell, TuckerReese, Eliza Waschak and Blakely Payne.

Subway 32, Destin Insurance Group 16

Caden Colgan was tops for Subway with 12 points. Michael Powell hit double digits with 10 points. Mason Hughes scored four and Masiah Sanders chipped in two.

Easton Clevenger led Insurance Group with six points. Micahel O’Bannon scored four. Contributed two each were Bronwen Juneau and Jonah Kuhlman.
