YOUTH BASKETBALL: DKM Custom Homes edges out Bubba

Alex Kruse knocked down 11 points to lead DKM Custom Homes in a 33-32 victory over Bubba Gump’s in the 12-16 age division of the city of Destin’s Youth Basketball League at the Destin Community Center.

At the half, Bubba led 11-9. But DKM kicked it in high-gear the second half to edge out Bubba.

Scoring seven points each for DKM were Ian Thomas and Zac Thomas. Charlie Guillory scored six and Christian O’Brien added two points.

High-point scorer for Bubba was Kace Gould with 22 points. Cooper Hall scored four, while Brandon Conk, Armin Jusis and James Boykin each contributed two points.

In other 12-16 action:

Subway 49, Wild Willy’s 36

Eason Ingram was on fire for Subway draining four 3-pointers on his way to a game high of 34 points. Wyatt Wainwright scored eight, Hunter Barber contributed four points and Dalton Figar scored three.

Jandel Gadea scored 17 points for Wild Willy’s. Jayden Ricca hit double digits with 12. Aiden Garza scored three, while Ethan Ramsey and Will Kueny each hit for two.

Ages 9-11

Prinstine Paint 23, Robbins Builders 21

Jaden Fair led Pristine with seven points. Eli Joseph O’Brian scored six. Tossing in two points each were Trey MacDonald, Jayce Roberson, Ebner Ingram, Sara Oakes and Tristan Cooper.

Charlie Frankfurt was the go-to-guy for Builders with 17 points. Stephen Riggs scored the other four points.

Dynamic Pain and Wellness 31, Porath and Associates 26

Calix McCune was tops for Dynamic with 16 points. Cruze McCune scored five and Skye Dwyer hit for four points. Chipping in two each were Cullen McCune, Avery Cowles and William Cowles.

Braden Waters led all scorers tossing in 20 points for Porath. Calvin Blackman scored four points and Jayden Phillips chipped in two.

Better Homes and Gardens 28, Subway 24

Carter Phillips led Better Homes with 10 points and Lavin McDaniel checked in with seven. Others scoring were Griffin Cann, Mason George and Lily Lechner.

Nathan Hiers was tops for Subway with 11 points. Cameron Cook scored eight. Jonas Smith tossed in three and Elias McCoy, two.

Taco Town FWB 27, Half Shell Oyster House 14

Kohltan Ward led Taco Town with seven points. Cannon Wilbur scored six, while Carter Marracco and Jackson Ramsey each scored four. Contributing two each were Dylan Baughman, Brooks Chouinard and Nathan Sills.

Parker Yates was the high-point player for Half Shell with 12 points. Sebastian McDonald scored two.

Ages 7-8

McGovern, O’Dell and Associates 14, Books by Schmidt 10

Jax O’Dell led McGovern with 10 points. Joseph Oakes scored the other four points.

Kemper MacDonald scored six for Schmidt and Parker Duffin chipped in four.

Subway 30, Aaron’s Pool and Spa 10

David Orsua scored 16 to set the pace for Subway. Jayden Rowell scored eight, Jayven Brown four and Aaron Magee two.

Bentley Reed scored four for Aaron’s Pool. Chipping in two each were Judson Phillips, Addisyn Anderson and Payton Gates.

Imagine Data Services 17, Emerald Coast Xtreme Steam 15

Parker Bloom led Imagine with seven points. Graham Herndon scored five, while Lilly Miller and Caleb Nicholson each scored two. Khloe Mixon chipped in one.

Kane Terry led Xtreme with eight points. Bev Tintzman scored four and Ryder Kendall contributed three.

Ages 5-6

Subway 14, Championship Title 13

Jayden Mullins scored eight for Subway. Carson Gregory scored three, Tanner Reese two and Brosnan Kramer one.

Avery Culhane tossed in seven points for Championship. Bentley Barnwell scored five and Madison Peacock one.

Panera Bread 41, Nathan Hall 12

Hunter Tintzman was tops for Panera with seven points. Scoring six each were Barrett Robbins, Brooks Olson Smth and Hudson Riggs. Emmie Roberson scored five, while Grayton Robbins and Miles Merritt each scored four. Caleb Riggs contributed three.

Tiago Rella Tillis scored six for Nathan Hall. Liam Wolfle scored five and Harrison White chipped in one.

O’Connell and Associates 26, DKM Custom Homes 20

Warren Smith led O’Connell with seven points. Knox Taylor added five. Scoring three each were Michael Guin, David Burac and Charlie Zielinski. Henry Arth and Abel Smith each scored two and Griffin Terry added one point.

Brock Sansom was the go-to-guy for DKM with 13 points. Cylar Strother scored four, Lorelei Becnel picked up two and Matthew Dixon, one.

Ages 3-4

B and C Fire Safety 23, O’Connell and Associates 17

Avalyn O’Dell scored 11 points for Fire Safety and Mallory Horn hit for 10. Noelle Reyes added two points.

Scoring four each for O’Connell were Harper Kemper, Joan Sebastian and Wyatt Ullery. Ace Hastings and Maxim Larich each scored two. Everett Marzka chipped in one point.
