Bradley’s Textile edges out Crackings

Bobby Griffith pounded out four hits to lead Bradley’s Textile in an 18-17 win over Crackings in the city of Destin’s Coed Softball League at Morgan Sports Center.

Griffith connected for a double and three singles for an RBI.

In the first inning, Crackings took a 6-4 lead.

In the second, Bradley’s pulled ahead with seven runs and then picked up two more in the third for a 13-6 advantage.

Not down yet, Crackings scored the 10-run limit in the top of the fourth to take the lead again at 16-13. Bradley’s picked up one run in the bottom half.

In the fifth, each team scored one run.

In the bottom of the sixth, with time running out, Bradley’s scored three runs for the win.

Donnie Montrey smacked a grand slam, plus another home run for Bradley’s for a total of six RBIs. Ryan Grandstaff tripled, doubled and singled for two RBIs, and Rita Cummins doubled and singled for two RBIs.

Paige Elliott hit four singles for Crackings. Justin Coppock tripled, doubled and singled for two RBIs, and Jessica Ramm hit three singles for an RBI.

HarborWalk Marina 24, Fender Collision 13

At the end of two innings, HarborWalk was up 9-4.

In the third, each team scored five runs, then in the fourth, HarborWalk added one and Fender, two.

In the fifth inning, HarborWalk exploded for nine runs and the win.

Tori Chapel led HarborWalk with a triple, double and two singles for five RBIs. Brian Martinez slapped a home run and two singles for five RBIs, and Justin Lund tripled, doubled and singled for four RBIs.

Todd Duncan hit three singles for three RBIs for Fender. Matt Campbell connected for two single and two RBIs, and Jennifer Bazylak doubled and singled.

Huck’s Ducks 18, My Payroll Co. 6

Huck’s Ducks dominated taking a 10-1 lead in the first two innings.

Huck’s went on to score one in the third, four in the fourth and three in the fifth for the win.

My Payroll had their biggest inning in the fifth with five runs.

Nick Wingate belted a home run, triple and a double for four RBIs for Huck’s. Wes Josey homered, doubled and singled for five RBIs, and Anthony Bartolo belted an inside the park homer and a triple for four RBIs. Della Frey hit three singles for two RBIs.

Beth Blyden led My Payroll with three singles. Phil Smith singled and Kait Bazylak singled for an RBI.

Emerald Coast Chiropractic 10, Regatta Bay 7

At the end of four innings, Regatta had the lead 7-4.

Chiropractic battled back with four runs in the bottom of the fifth. Chiropractic picked up two more runs in the sixth for the win.

Don Edwards led Chiropractic with four singles for an RBI. Kat Mortensen hit three singles for an RBI and Shawn Wood tripled and singled.

Canyon Clevenger clobbered two home runs for four RBIs for Regatta. Tom Wojcalewski hit two singles and Nick Giammaresi doubled for two RBIs.

Regatta Bay 16, Philip Cryar Marine 9

Regatta stepped out to a 10-3 lead in the first two innings. By the end of five, Regatta led 15-7.

Laramie Bolin was top batter for Regatta.

Exurt 11, Philip Cryar Marine 10

Andy Collins was top batter for Exurt.

Big hitters for Philip Cryar were Mike McGrath, Jason Smith and Danielle Sheridan.
