King for the day

William DeSantis was all smiles Wednesday as he stepped off SS Enterprise and couldn't wait to take photos with his catch.
Before deckhand Travis Reynolds could put his king mackerel on the racks, the young man from Key West grabbed up the 20-pound mackerel getting fish slime all over his arms and shirt, and started posing for photos.
"He took me all over," the back of the boat, William said.
Capt. Kirk Reynolds said they had caught their limit of red snapper and were looking to start trolling for mackerel.
"It was the first bait out when we stopped to troll," Reynolds said.
They were fishing down near the Liberty Ship off Fort Walton Beach when the king mackerel nailed the hardtail.
As soon as the king took the bait, Reynolds handed the rod off to William.
"He took some good runs," William said.
Reynolds said the fish ran William all over the back deck of the boat.
"Once he got close to the boat … he said no," William added.
However, the no was soon turned to yes and William hauled in the mackerel.
Although some of the red snapper he caught were huge, William was most excited about the king mackerel.
