It was barbeque, shrimp and plenty of fixin's for all as more than 200 charter boat captains, family and friends gathered on the docks Thursday evening as part of the Destin Charter Boat Association Spring Social and membership drive.

Mike Buckingham of the soon-to-be-opened Buck's Smoke House supplied the barbeque and beans, while Fisherman's Wharf Restaurant served up shrimp, corn and hushpuppies.

Charter boat families filled the tables with pies, cookies and all sorts of side dishes.

In addition to charter boat families, Okaloosa County Sheriff Larry Ashley was in attendance and led the crowd in the pledge of allegiance followed by Rev. Mike Hesse of Immanuel Anglican who blessed the gathering.
