Rhodes is big winner in Fud Chicks Fallout

Team Lickety-Split placed third in Speckled Trout and Redfish.

Cindy Rhodes hauled in a lunker of a redfish to take first place in the Fud Chicks Fallout Fishing Tournament at Fudpucker’s on Okaloosa Island last weekend.

“The weather was perfect … and the fishing was great,” said Chester Kroeger of Fudpucker’s. “We had some nice size trout weighed in and a monster flounder."

Out of a field of 15 boats participating, Rhodes hauled in a 6.3-pound redfish while fishing aboard the Sea-Gals for first place in the Redfish Division. She also took first in the Flounder Division with a 4.12-pounder plus won the Choctawhatchee Slam (biggest aggregate weight of all three species) with 14.22-pounds of fish.

Other winners in the Redfish Division were Rebecca Cruz with a 4.8-pounder caught aboard the Shake & Bake, and Kim Heagerty with a 2.6-pounder on the Lickety-Split.

In the Speckled Trout Division, Cruz took first with a 4.54-pounder, while Ashley McCombs on the Sea-Gals came in second with a 3.8-pounder. Jenny Cook on the Lickety-Split took third with a 1.78-pounder.

Winners in the Flounder Division were Rhodes with a 4.12-pounder and Cruz at second with a 2.92-pounder.

Some of the prizes included resorts stays with ResortQuest and Ramada Plaza as well as gift cards from Bass Pro Shops, Columbia Sportswear and Wal-Mart to name a few.
