Palustris hauls in big fish in AJ's Spring Fling

Out of 14 boats entered, Leslie Nalty fishing aboard the Palustris hauled in a 71.4 pound cobia on Sunday for the largest of the two-day AJ’s Spring Fling Cobia Tournament.

The Palustris placed second overall in the Big Three with 102.6-pounds of cobia. For their fish, the crew took home $6,307 in prize money.

Big money winner of the two-day event was the crew aboard the Lucky Dog with Capt. Cody Gray at the helm. Josh Cannon hauled in a 67.6-pounder for second place overall and they placed third overall in the Big Three for a grand total of $13,101.

Hauling in the largest fish on Saturday and placing third overall was Benny Waterfield with a 66.4-pounder caught on the Sweet Caroline with Capt. Danny Bilger.

The Papi with Capt. Kevin Moak at the helm placed first in the Big Three with 127 pounds of cobia. Eddie Morgan pulled in a 64 pounder and Josh Swords a 63 pounder, both caught on Saturday.
