Bow’d Up breaks on to leaderboard

After a month since the first cobia was caught on March 5, Capt. Brady Bowman and the crew aboard the Bow’d Up broke on to the leaderboard of the Destin Cobia Tournament at HarborWalk Marina on Thursday, April 5.

Brian Bird, fishing aboard the Bow’d Up, landed an 81.5-pound cobia Thursday afternoon to take over the top spot on the board.

Harri Hotti, who was sitting in the top spot with a 72.6-pounder caught aboard the Full Pull with Capt. Chris Wagner, has dropped to second.

In third place overall on the board is Stewart Chapman with a 65.8-pounder caught aboard the Long Weekend with Capt. Brad McCann.

In the Ladies Division, local angler Karen Bilger is in the lead with a 47.4-pound cobia caught on Easter weekend aboard the Sweet Caroline.
