The No. 3 Virginia Cavaliers (5-0) and the Michigan Wolverines (5-1) meet Tuesday at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook's lines around the Virginia vs. Michiganodds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

The Cavaliers have already scored a win over a Big Ten team, topping Illinois 70-61 in a neutral-site affair on Nov. 20. Virginia also knocked off Baylor by an 86-79 score on a neutral floor on Nov. 18 as a 4.5-point underdog.

The Wolverines slipped by Jackson State last time out, winning 78-68 as 21.5-point favorites, and that came on the heels of an OT win over Ohio at Crisler on Nov. 20. Michigan has won 5 of 6 games overall, but it is just 1-4 ATS in the past 5 outings.

Virginia at Michigan picks and predictions

Virginia 72, Michigan 62

Against the spread

VIRGINIA -4.5 (-105) is worth playing, even on the road, as the Cavaliers have been playing good basketball with quality wins over Illinois and Baylor.

Michigan has a loss to Arizona State already, and it barely scraped by Jackson State and Ohio on its home floor. It's hard to imagine the Wolverines offering much resistance against the high-flying Hoos.

OVER 130.5 (-115) is the lean, but it's only worth a half-unit play.

The Over is 10-2-1 in the past 13 games for UVA dating back to last season while going 8-2-1 in the past 11 on the road against teams with a winning home mark.

The Over cashed in the first 3 games this season for the Hoos before the Under hit in the past 2 outings.

The Over has outpaced the Under 3-2 in the past 5 games overall for Michigan while going 9-4 in the past 13 games following a non-cover and 14-5 in the past 19 after a straight-up victory.
