HarborWalk Marina knocks off Kona Brew Crew

Travis Holland knocked in six runs to lead HarborWalk Marina in a 17-15 win over Kona Brew Crew in the Coed Division I Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Holland smacked two home runs for the six RBIs.

The first three innings of play was close with Kona holding an 8-7 lead.

In the top of the fourth, HarborWalk blew the game open with the 10-run limit. Kona scored two in the bottom half and then five more in the fifth before time ran out.

Brian Martinez belted a homer and a triple for two RBIs for HarborWalk. Rose Bartlett connected for two doubles.

Michael Ogden slapped a home run, double and a single for three RBIs for Kona. Nick McClure tripled and hit two singles for an RBI, and Clarence Wells doubled and hit two singles for an RBI.

Hancock Whitney Bank 21, Philip Cryar Marine Works 9

Hancock started strong with eight runs in the first inning. By the end of three, Hancock was on top 20-3.

Marine Works put six runs on the board in the fourth and Hancock finished off the game in the bottom of the fifth with one run.

Shawn Schrag and Todd Schrag each doubled and hit three singles for three RBIs for Hancock. Anna Cordova hit two singles for an RBI.

Danny Owens led Marine Works with two doubles for an RBI. Sam Senor hit two singles for three RBIs, and Carrie Curry singled.

Emerald Coast Chiropractic 26, Philip Cryar Marine Works 11

Chiropractic jumped out to a 13-3 lead in the first two innings. Chiropractic added one run in the third and then six in the fifth and six the sixth.

Marine Works had their big inning in the fourth with five runs.

Don Edwards was the big stick for Chiropractic with a grand slam, double and a single for a total of six RBIs. Shawn Wood doubled and hit three singles for four RBIs, and Beth Henry doubled and hit two singles. Evan Groth also slapped a home run.

Ryan Cogan hit four singles for two RBIs for Marine Works. Sam Senor hit two doubles and a single for an RBI, and Chelsea Womack singled for an RBI.

Bradley Textile Industrial 21, Ace in the Hole 9

The first three innings of play were close with Ace holding a slight 8-7 lead.

Bradley broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth with seven runs. Bradley put up seven more in the fifth for the win.

Ryan Grandstaff clobbered two home runs and a single for eight RBIs for Bradley. Paul Davis tripled and hit two singles for an RBI and Aubrey Tyler hit an inside the park home run and a single for an RBI.

Andy Collins connected for three singles for Ace. Nikki Stewart tripled and singled and Jason Little hit two singles for two RBIs.
